Most of what actually shapes a life never gets taught anywhere. You get told to communicate better, to self-care, to advocate. Rarely anyone hands you the words.
That's the gap these guides are built for.
The Part They Don't Teach makes downloadable PDF guides and workbooks on the practical parts of hard situations. Relationships and the conversations that decide how they go. Separation, custody documentation, and co-parenting. Parenting and school advocacy. Mental clarity, habits, and pressure. And a series of illustrated field guides on how American power actually works, because being able to read the system around you is a practical skill too.
How they're written
Every guide is written and designed by Christian Kuete, PMHNP-BC (MSN, APRN) — a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. That background matters mostly in how the material is put together: check the sources, say what is actually known, don't overstate it, and give someone something they can use on a bad day rather than a good one.
What that means in practice:
- Plain language. No therapy jargon you'd have to translate before you could use it.
- Specific over inspirational. Scripts, prompts, checklists, and templates rather than encouragement.
- Short enough to finish. Most are read in one sitting. A guide you don't finish helps nobody.
- Designed to be readable. Typeset properly, checked for contrast, and printable if you'd rather work on paper.
What these are not
They are educational resources, not therapy, legal representation, medical care, or financial advice. They don't replace a professional who knows your situation, and they can't promise a particular outcome. What they can do is help you walk into the room better prepared, with language ready and a clearer view of what you're dealing with.
